fantastic new German silver coins
Guten Tag! Today I sold off some crappy 90% I picked up on the cheap when I started collecting and plowed it back into various and sundry German silver coins, from the late German Empire and the Third Reich period.
I picked up a very nice uncirculated 5 Mark coin with the Potsdam kirche on it, in glorious condition for barely more than melt. A common date and mintmark but excellent condition. I got several nineteenth century coins too. I cleaned out the corner store of quality stuff. Also I got a 5 mark coin from 74 that was not represented as silver but it sure feels like it is, and the krause manual seems to corrobrate that. Ah well, if I get a chance I will list out more details. Unfortunately I am not a picture on the internet guy but really the delights of old foreign silvers really have been growing on me. Oh I dont mind saying that we whipped up a fantastic dinner too, chicken breasts marinated in herbs and dijon, crusted with crumbs, and pierogies sauteed in olive oil and butter, along with garlic carrot slices and scallions. Served with a creme fraiche and dijon mustard sauce. Oh and a nice champagne cocktail decoction we made with blueberries and orange slices, a bit of cointreau and cognac, and a nip of suger too. Its snowing here, we got a fire, everything's great. Goodwill and tidings of cheer to all. |
